Grimace: expression of disgust or pain

Notice how often attractive words present themselves to define other beautiful ones, and note also how many of them are interrelated, and what kind of sensations, impressions, and emotions they have in common. Also, try enunciating beautiful words as if they were ugly, or vice versa. Are their sounds suggestive of their quality, or does their meaning wholly determine their effect on us?

I’m really excited about school right now. Like, every facet of it.

I’m anxiously waiting for my grades to get posted for this semester, but for one of the first times it’s not because I’m nervous about having failed anything. I’m really excited for Blackboard (the online service linked to USF) to switch over to next semester so I can find out who’s in my classes in the summer and what the classes will be like and whatnot.

For probably the first time since I started going to USF in 2007, I didn’t wait until the absolute last minute to order my books for the next semester, and the bookstore is taking entirely too long to get them in.

I still haven’t gotten over the weird feeling, in the past two semesters, of reaching the point in the semester when late withdrawals have to happen byand not being worried whether I should be withdrawing from one of my classes for fear of failing.

I can’t believe I’m graduating in two semesters. That’s kind of a simple one, but the notion of actually being done here after what, six years? That’s crazy and kind of scary, but in a good way.

And finally, I still haven’t gotten over the fact that I’m taking a fucking Harry Potter class in the fall. I probably won’t get over that and stop being excited about it until the fall semester is ending, because it probably won’t be until then that I finally accept that I actually got to do that.

All of these feelings, being excited about school-related things, are really strange for me, after taking all of basically five years to get around to figuring out what I really wanted to do here and stop failing classes, but I’m glad that it’s finally happened.
